Missing Teeth & Floopy Ear

So we couldn't figure out why one of my ears is sticking straight up and the other one is floppy. A few weeks ago the same thing happened but then both my ears were floppy again. Mommy #1 looked around online and she found out that for some reason Chihuahua's ears do funny things when we are teething. She found the following question/answer on a message board. I still look very cute though. I sure hope my ears stay this way or floppy. I like them that way.

My 15 week old chi puppy has one ear sticking up and one flopping down. Is this normal or should they both begin to stick up at the same time?

It's normal. Chihuahua ears are as unique as the dogs themselves, they tend to do what they want for a while until they learn what's acceptable and what isn't. If both ears are up and one or both suddenly droop, that is probably in response to the process of losing baby teeth and the adult teeth coming in. Suddenly one day they're down, and suddenly one day they're up. Once they come back up, they should stay that way.
